Just returned last week from a trip to Corcovado National Park. Saw oodles of critters thanks to the start of the rainy season.
Below is a link to pics of a Terciopelo we caught under the Sirena Ranger station and relocated about 3/4 of a mile away. Interestingly, the snake had killed a spiny rat(Proechmys semisponus) and we found it one morning. Later that night, the snake was discovered in exactly the same spot under some steps.
The park ranger allowed us to bag it and move away from hiking trails. The pic above is as we released her.
As we get more pics developed I'll post more. We also found all 3 dart frog species on the Osa Penisula(D. auratus, D. granuliferous, P. vittatus)
