Hi everyone,

Thanks to everyone who responded to my first post. Your input was very helpful. :-)

I read somewhere that UV lighting was a necessity for these lizards, especially as babies, but also that they are nocturnal animals and hardly ever come out during the daytime. This makes no sense to me. Why would they need UV lighting if they are nocturnal? Wouldn't dusting their prey with a product like Rep-Cal (calcium + D3) be enough?

Please clarify me on this subject. :-) Thanks!

Julie
