My turtle also has a respiratory infection (among other less obvious and more serious ailments). I have been giving him antibiotic shots prescribed by a vet. If you have no vets in your area this is a problem; keep him warm and consult by phone with a vet elsewhere. Maybe the two of you can find a way to get a prescription for your turtle somehow. Or he can advise a people antibiotic and dosage that you can obtain, crush, and feed to your guy.

Good luck. Recovery takes a very long time.
