i had a hatchling RES with respiratory infection who survived without going to a vet. i just kept him in dry dock with the heat up. he got better in a couple days. i was very fortunate because respritory infection is a very deadly disease, but if you can't find a vet, just try to do what i did.
:thanks guys for your suggestions.. I live in the Philippines and i dont think there's a single vet here that treats turtles.. anyways i have taken into your suggestions and have kept my turtle in 24 hrs of light.. whether lamp light or sunlight.. I also put the turtle in the bathroom away from the aircon.. the water is always clean and today it swam in the water.. it still has mucous bubbling out of its nose but it doesn't look as bad as before .. I gave it a chinese medicine called white flower.. its a menthol smelling thing that suppose to clear the air passageways for humans.. i put on its rock .. hope it works.. wish me luck
