Do a search in this forum and you'll find that WC Mandarins have a mortality rate in captivity that is very extreme to say the least. The same seems to hold for other snakes imported out of that region (E. moellendorfi and Fea's Vipers to name two).

I work with two species of snakes {Gonyosoma oxycephala and Tropidoleamus wagleri (males)} that are considered fairly difficult to acclimate. I've had good luck with WC specimens of both species and consider myself pretty good at acclimating difficult species in general.

However, I would not pay for WC Mandarins and probably would not even care to work with WC's if they were free. I just don't care to go through that kind of mortality. These are very, very difficult to acclimate.
