Corey, if you are having luck with Mandarins, that's great, however, we stand behind what we said! It would stand to reason that someone selling wild caught animals would be the one to defend them. Our response to this post was merely to help out a fellow herper and keep him from making a couple hundred dollar mistake. If you are having the luck with this species that you claim, then why don't you take the time to explain the proper husbandry techniques so other can do as well as you. We are not confusing mandarins with moelendorffi, we were stating facts! Captive born mandarins are better choices, however, other keepers we have spoken to have had similar problems with them.
