I figured I would stir up the hive by posting this. It is from a list serve for Partners in Amphibian and Reptile Conservation.
Snake lovers everywhere! Elaphe is no more for our North American
residents. The new name for Eastern Ratsnakes, Corn Snakes, Fox Snakes, and
Baird's Ratsnake is Pantherophis. This ought to get everyone talking!
