Heck yeah. In the first part of the book he talks about his techniques where he states that on the weekends he would leave on friday and drive to some part of Ohio and herp then be back by Sunday night. That's crazy and he did it all. Maps, description, habitat, everything. And the detail of where the animals were found is so much better then most of those field guides out there. Not only that but the book was published in 1938, can you imagine driving around every weekend with the automobiles they had then. Again I say, what a champion.
