i put my newt in a critter keeper i have with a thing to get onto and clean water and hes stayed on that. he isnt doin good at all, hindlegs are still paralyzed. if a bacteria is causing this, what can i use to help my newt? i wish there was an amphibian vet near me.
:I have a rough skinned newt and somthing is wrong with it. I went through http://www.livingunderworld.org/amphibianArticles/article0001.htm and the only thing i can think is egg retention. My newt's abdomen is a lil swollen but not the throat and the cloaca is swollen too. My newt shed yesterday but its eyes are a tiny bit cloudy still. It also seems to not be able to move its back legs fully. and i never see it eat, right now its on the land as the lights are off. water temp is 65 degrees farenheit. any suggestions on how i can help my newt?
