but at the same time if we investigate particular (single) foods with CA:P of 2:1 we'll begin to *know* the foods that are most beneficial to our igs. Ive seen how you do it Hakan....& I just can't keep records like that...knowing, keeping track over the course of, say a month...what the CA: P ratio is! I'd go nutz for sure! In the meantime...that USDA database...is a good tool for anyone to BEGIN to look at nutrients in the foods we give em. There are tons of single foods that have higher than 2:1 CA:P ratio so that aspect is not limiting...its the other junk in these foods that make them not as desirable as others....Its about making choices...and selecting better foods for our igs than others. The only thing I DO NOT like about the Database is...it tells nothing about Phytates, Oxalates, Purines, and Goitrogens.....*****sigh**** Im still looking for a good nutrition book that spells all that out.
At the same time...I hear you loud and clear...VARIETY & MODERATION....is key
Just my opinion 2 (Do you think anyone really reads this stuff Hakan? or really cares? lol)
Give those two igs of yours a headrub for me!
Gina
