Mean iguana

My 2 year old iguana, Shemp, (after the all mighty Three Stooges best member) is very, very mean, he hates to be touched, or even looked at, (lol) but ,if hungry, he will take, with caution, food from my hand, but will not tolerate being touched, and has even less toleration for handling, he bites and scratches, and trimming claws is out of the question, also, he is a very picky eater, and has always turned his nose up at anything with even the smallest amount of vitamin dust on it, he eats very small amounts, no matter how much i offer him, and prefers more protien than fruits or veggies, ive heard that a diet rich in protien may have something to do with aggression, any info, comments?
