Like every one else has mentioned there is a very good chance that your iggs diet and lighting is part of the problem. I have a friend with a female ig and they where not feeding her right and she got MBD and she did want anyone touching her because it hurt her. before she got sick she was a real sweetie. Males I have noticed take a lot more taming than females. My male is about the same way. I can pet him now but it took a long time to get him to let me. He still hates being held but I do despite the pain he cause me. Maybe if you just spend time with him. Ihad to work my way up with angus and I'm still working. To start, I talk to him every day I hand feed him treats like bannana. then I worked my way to petting him first buy putting my hand by him and leaving it there than slowly touching him (he still didn't like it at first). I don't hold my ig that much because I know he really hates it. But just talking to him, hand feeding him, and petting him has made him more confortable around me. Confortable enough for him to come up to me while laying on the cough on using my leg as a rest room (the only attention he has payed to me)I do think that my Iguana shares the same feeling that he could live with out any humans and wishes we would just go away. Just try to work on him trusting you not so much forcing him to like being held and touched.
