This is about my friend's iguana, which I have asked about before. She imed me today asking if I might know what the problem is with her ig. She said it had a black spot, a hole in the skin and this was in it. She pulled it from the ig (a bad idea I think) and there was pus. The leg is swollen to about 3 times the normal size. It sounds to me like it's some sort of infection, but I really don't have a clue. I said keep the tank beautifully clean, and take her to the vet. Her mom won't let her take the ig to the vet (i'm furious because I told her to take her other one to the vet before getting the new one). Does anyone have any idea what this could be, and what can I suggest to her. I am going to tell her to disinfect the tank with bleach (she did soap and water when she put that ig in it, so it's not well cleaned). But, what else should I tell her.
