Climate where it doesnt get cold then to me its a great heat source.Obviously if the lights burn out then your ambient heat temps will drop severely without another heat source to back it up so unless you want to turn up the heat in your house to about 90 or so and cook its your choice but for me i think i'll stick with the alternative.
