Just keep an eye on him and monitor his behavior. You can adjust accordingly. I put my food dishes up high (rig them so they don't get knocked over). Sleestack doesn't move around a lot when it isn't breeding season so I ensure he eats more when the food is within his view. This time of year he is up and down a gazillion times!
