First off... in response to one of your replies below, I did not see ANYONE attacking you or "biting your head off." We're simply concerned because there are already so many igs out there who need good homes. If you want to find igs for your friends and other people in town, please start a rescue or find them iguanas to adopt. The fact is there are THOUSANDS out there that need homes. Bringing more iguanas into captivity, while it IS your choice, is not a very responsible move. What if you cannot find homes for them? Do you have the resourses, not to mention space to house 20-30 iguanas?
Please don't get so defensive because we don't like what you plan to do. We're simply concerned for the welfare of the animals. For all I know, you could have the resources to give them all great homes... but MOST people don't. If you do, then that's wonderful, and you just have to realize you're a rare person. People are going to assume you don't know what you're doing, since most people don't.
Anyway, please rethink what you're doing... and consider hatching only the number that you can care for just in case you cannot find them other homes. If you just want to get into breeding in general, please consider something like Panther Chameleons. There is a great demand for Captive bred Panthers, and quite a few are still being caught from the wild and imported. Iguanas are the opposite, there's so many of them available a lot of people are just letting them go.
