HEY GUYS!! Haven't posted in a while, but I have an occurance I'd like to have explained.
When Edgar was asleep/pretending to be asleep, I touched his tail. He reacted like any iggy would do and twitched it. What I don't understand is when I come within about 1/4" from touching his tail he briefly twitches it(away from me)kinda like he's sayin "DONT TOUCH IT!". It's as if he can sense electrical impulses in my hand and fingers without me even touching him...or maybe he is reading my mind?? LOL.
Anyways, I found this to be intriguing, and my guess is he is feeling the electrical pulses. I thought that iguanas did not have such an incredible sense of touch, let alone in their tails where nerves would not be abundant. Its like having a whole network of intricate nerve systems in your fingernails even though they grow and get cut off(like tail breaks as protection and tails being used as a weapon). Just curious if anyone else's igs have done this and what would be your explanation?
Thanx for anything!!
