Try keeping him on one shoulder while you move around. And dont be easy about it. he has claws and will hold on tight... now, with your other hand gently cup it over his back. You should be able to stop him from jumping before he gets the leverage and it will also keep him aware that you HAVE him where YOU want him.
That worked for me and Oz
