I had a 5 yr old 8 lb 5 ft male lunge at me tonight from about 2-3 feet away. This is what he did...
Here's the initial bite. We had already rinsed it for a few minutes, and this is what it looked like after a few seconds without water running over it.
This is after about 5 minutes of rinsing, pic taken before the wound could get covered with blood again.
Bleeding slowed finally. You can see from this angle, the pic was taken of the top of my wrist. The iguana came down and wrapped his mouth all the way around my wrist. My wrist measures 8 inches around where he bit me... This was NOT a small iguana!
This was after about 15 minutes... Right before I covered it up. YOu can see the deep lacerations and teeth marks... Also evident is the tearing from him sliding off my hand. Remember, he literally LEPT at me, and then fell off of me with his mouth attached to my arm.
