just a couple of months ago. A rescue that was recovering on the day of some reconstructive wrist surgery nailed me on the right thumb. I probably would have just treated it at home but it was placed so that every time I bent my thumb it would re-open the wound. I received several sutures, a tetanus shot, and a course of heavy duty antibiotics. I'm happy to say that we both healed very well. Gosh darn, it does hurt tho!!
