new iguana

hey
i have had my iguana for about 24 hours now but he hasnt taken any food except for a littleturnip greens hanging in his sunning enclosure where he is now. But how can i entice him to eat his meal? Im just sort of worried he gets plenty of warmth from his basking spot which is high up on a branch 3 or 4 inches from a che. Humidity is good the cool side of the cage is around 70. warm side is varied greatly. What should i do about his apetite? How long should he stay in his sunning cage?
