Room humidifiers???Why???Iguanas dont need that!!!

Why you fellow herpers want to raise the ambient room humidity in the iguana's room??Can someone explain that to me??
As everybody in this FORUM already knows I am Brazilian and in my country the iguanas live in all the hot and warm areas EVEN in the DESERTIC ones!!
To confirm that impression I received an e-mail from IBAMA (the Brazilian Institute of Protection of the Environment) stating exactly what I am saying.According to IBAMA the "iguana iguana" is NOT a lizard from tropical humid climate and can be found all over the Brazilian territory except in the cold areas.According to them the lizards in general are very good in avoiding body's water loss and take great part of the water they need from the fresh food they eat.
