OMG you guys, I knew it, I'm going to kill her! I was so scared because of all the things I read about that make iguanas hard to care for, and here I am :(

I was unaware of the shallow dish thing. I had always heard that iguanas almost never drink water, so I drizzle her food under the faucet before giving it to her (please tell me that's not a mistake too). I have recently switched her diet to fresh kale as the only greens, which I now see was a very bad thing. If I'd only taken the time to do a quick search and read a few web pages I would have known. I was varying the other foods, but not the greens, I suspect this may be the problem. I agree wholeheartedly with you, I suck. She's probably going to die, and it's all my fault.

I didn't realize it was quite this bad, she's been going to the bathroom, just not as regularly as she used to, 3-4 days instead of every day. I thought it might be a normal shift or something...any tips on how to tell the sex of the lizard? Here are some pictures, in less constipated times, that might help anyone who's interested: http://personal.atl.bellsouth.net/lig/d/u/dudl8203/leezard/

I was told she was female. I understand eggs can become clogged in females? Also, from this page: http://www.geocities.com/RainForest/9008/gender.html I judge that she's a female, as her pores look more like the female picture.

I gave her a warm bath, ran water up to about her shoulders and held her there...she lept about a lot at first, but then calmed down and bobbed along. I felt around her anal area, it feels really filled with fluid, like a water baloon. After 10 minutes I put her back in the cage with a pan of water and turned the herp heater on low. 10 pm and the room temperature is 78*F.

For lighting I have a Repti-Sun bulb from the pet store, costed $20, not sure of the wattage, but it's not much, more light? What wattage?

Does the humidity in the terarium have to remain in the 90s? Would the ideal terarium be a huge aquarium or something, which would allow the humidity to be maintained that high? Her cage now is kind of metal bars, like a large hamster cage, about 4 feet long, 2 1/2 feet tall and 2 1/2 feet wide. But like I said, I never have her spending much time in there, and I didn't realize the humidity requirements were that high. I had planned on building a much larger terarium for her with more fencing type material, but may rethink that if need be. I'd like to atleast build something where the walls would easily come off and be replaced with plexiglass ones or something.

Today made day 2 with no poo, if she doesn't go by tomorrow I'll take her to a vet...of course I'll have to find one first, which may be difficult...I'll keep you posted :(

Thanks for your help...

: From what you explained it can be many things. It could be from an incorrect diet, lack of proper heating, lack of uvb lights, lack of water, or like john-paul said...may of ate something it shouldnt of, or it may be a male, but considering that it tried to go to the bathroom and nothing really came out...some kind of blockage or another. Take it to the vet, but considering you couldnt find time to give it even a cereal bowl of water, I doubt you will get it checked out professionally anyway.

: if you let it go long enough and it is constipated, eventually it will die a painful death or need surgeory cause all the urates and crap will harden like a rock in it intestines.

: Dont mean to sound so harsh but next time your thirsty...dont get a drink.
