Well she pooped about an hour after the bath, right in the pan of water. It was like a jet when she finally unleashed it...WOOOSH... Usually her feces is pretty squishy, but this time there was a lot of clear liquid, some white slimy stuff (both normal), and the feces was much more compact and, well, turd-like. Also there was a tiny white thing on the end that came out first (yes I poked around at it), that was kind of hard, crunchy almost. Is that a sign of anything?

And no I didn't know about the bowl, until I read that yesterday on some site or another. She definitely likes it though, it's amazing to me how visual she is...at first I didn't even have her a rock, when I put that in there she immediately loved it.

So my plan of action now, switch diets, more varied greens, add a supplement occasionally (whatever the most general one from those Rep-Cal folks is), and get her to a vet for a checkup ASAP.

Thanks again...

: Josh,

: Its never too late to change your husbandry skills. The good thing is that you atleast realize it. Its a good idea to leave a bowl of water around just in case it starts to get dehydrated, my real point to the bowl was that you knew about it but never got her one, not that she has to have one. Mine doesnt drink from the bowl, but like you mentioned I leave some of the water on the leaves i wash off. If you want to stick to basic greens go with collard greens(they stay the longest), chickory, mustard greens, chards, dandilion greens. Also you may want to throw in some fruits like apples, mangos, etc.

: My sometimes goes 2-3 days without going to the bathroom. In those cases I use parazap, They say its like a laxative and cleans the intestines. If she doesnt go by day 3 or 4 and you been soaking her...then take her to the vet. Let me know the state and area you live in and I will see if I can find a reptile vet in that area.

: Dont be too hard on yourself, people have done worse and made no corrections to their husbandry. Just keep in mind that your iguana relies on you for all its needs and she cant do anything about it, so make her life come first and easy.

: be cool
