I live In Middletown, N.Y. about a hour and a half North West of the city. Any Good Vets You know of around me, PLEASE let me know. Still looking for one. I know OF a few but don't know if they're any good. Too many who think they know but really don't...... Anyway, Just sent an E-mail to Iggy's Mom conferming Our getting him on Sunday! Sssssoooo Excited. :) As far as his health, She said He's fine. But I do agree with you on getting him Double checked. But like I said, Still looking for a Good Vet....... :( I'll print out the List of foods and tack it onto our Shopping list. Can't tell you how excited I am!!!!!.... :) :) :) I should leave him alone for a couple days then just start petting him for a week or two, right? I shouldn't actually pick him up for a few weeks, Right? Thanks again! :) :)

: I wouldnt say any kind of fruits and vegetables.
: I would stay close to collard greens, mustard greens, dandilion greens, chickory, chards, watercress...basically any dark green leaves. I dont know the links to all the Iguana diets but I'm sure someone will post one for you. I give my iguana either a little scrambled egg or a little catfood. I know most people feel you shouldnt and they may comment on my diet, but kiss my Iguana's a**. And once in a while he'll steal a slice of pizza. Also make sure you take your new iguana to the vet to get checked for parasites, especially protozoas and worms. I dewormed and treated for parasites my iguana in December...after that he put on about a pound and a quarter by february. What part of NY are you in...maybe I can recommend a vet depending on that.
