Our new iguana is still being hostile (which I did fully expect), but I'm not sure how to respond. When I was trying to put food in this morning he kept whipping his tail against the glass. Everytime I took a step closer his eyes got all big and he leaned back like he was terrified. I'm not sure if I should go ahead and let him whip his tail get scared, but do what I need to do anyway so he knows that I'm not going to hurt him (and in fact help him), or if I should just move really really slowly so that he can settle down long enough for me to put something in his tank (which could take an hour at this point). What should I do? If he was scared enough would he attack me? Should I have some heavy duty gloves or something?
Thanks for your help,
Shanna
