Your Sweet Elmo has grown up now... :o)
He is no longer a baby :o)
He is a man and he is ready to mate.
His aggression comes from high testosterone levels circulating in his bloodstream. It is breading season for him...
Don't worry this aggression will soon pass, and he will be back to his sweet self very soon. DO be patient with him and try not to show fear. I have a male iguana too, but he is still young yet (1 1/2 - 2yrs old). He does have strange new behavior, nothing that is harmful to my other iguana or me. He is just displaying how tough he is in his own light... I guess!
Maybe someone has a female iguana near you that Elmo can breed with. If you need help on your search or any assistance... Please let me know! :o)
I just posted a message voicing my concern about my "big boy's" new behavior! Check me out... If you have any thoughts or inquiries, PLEASE e-mail me or reply to my message board!
Thank you and good luck! You and your Elmo will be fine! Hang in there :o)
