Shane, do us all, yourself included, a favor and don't find a mate for Elmo. The last thing you or anyone else needs is the possibility of another 20 to 60 iguanas running around. MAting alone could produce some potential injury to Elmo or the female. Do some research into making a "luv sock" or something similiar. It may or may not help the situation but without having an experienced herp vet look at him you probably won't know for sure what's going on with him. The best any of us can do out here is make somewhat educated guesses...
"Breeding season" could be a possibility. Of course "breading season" might have something to do with as well. I wouldnt want to be considered an appetizer either.... Someone else pick up my slack for me tonight? We just took in #21 and 22 for iguanas today and I'm kind of wiped....;)
