Ok, heres some of what I know....

Iguanas need a full diet of Calcium, and Phosporus to maintain good health.
Also what is needed is UVB, AND full spectrum lighting (that is why some of my cages are outside)
Water: Iguanas should always have a water bowl in their cage, but will more than likely deficate in it. Clean water bowl EVERY day! Mist cages 2 to 3 times a day, b/c iguanas like to lick their water from the sides of the cage.
Humidity: Iguanas need between 95% to 100% humitidy, w/ the cage well vented.
Housing: cages should be made at a min. of 6x4x4
Food: Iguanas MUST have greens to maintain a healthy diet. This includes..Dandelion greens, mustard greens, collard greens, turnip greens, etc.

AVOID: Kale, brocolli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, and other cabages
Iguanas should be checked every day for lumps, abseces, loose stools, and other things that may be indicate a health problem
A veterinarian who is qualified to treat lizards and iguanas is the always best.
also, a veterinarian who can make house calls if needed, can provide service anytime...or can refer you to another QUALIFIED veterinarian if he cannot assist at a certain time.

We come here to share what we know and hope that by doing so you will not have to make mistakes as from us you might know what to and what NOT to do ahead of time . We all have things we could be doing elsewhere . We CHOSE to come her to offer what we know and have learned to make it better for others . You tell us and your friend tells us how ready and able you are in yet you do not have a vet ? Then you get upset about it ? If you truly want to learn do not post telling people how bad your being treated . If we did not care we would simply ignore you . I have been to other forums and news groups and for the past six months on AOL trying to help M* realize she is a hack the knowledge base here far surpasses any of these places . So loose the MK attitude and lets all do what we came here to do ..
