I did not say my iguanas are going to sit in the sun all day. During the day they will have a 150w bulb, and at night it will be a 60w bulb for basking spots.
Unless of course they are outside and the temperatures are right.
I live in San Antonio, Tx, my "sunlight" and humitidy is PERFECT for an iguana. As for FULL spectrum...sunlight IS full spectrum...the best you can get.
My iguanas will also have a florescent light in each cage, red or black.
: sunlight provides more UVB than the bulbs do, bulbs are an immitation to UVB sunlight.
: So ? They are not a "immitation" they are a substitute . Iguanas do not sit in the sun all day either . What does that have to do with the term " FULL spectrum " ?
