So, in "reality", the tail loss to the iguana was actually YOUR fault then is that what you're telling me ? Because, in "reality", I don't know of too many instances where GGI's would encounter AMERICAN alligators specially inside a human dwelling. Gee, an ig dangling above a captive gator pond - yeppers, this injury really is unexpected....

Since Florida now has a feral breeding population of iguanas this scenario could conceivably play out somewhere down in Alligator Alley. BUT since it happened while both the iguana and the gator are in your care then you would ultimately be responsible for the housing and conditions of both animals.

I'd like to rephrase my last comment about the picture and state that it is actually a very good photo of an injury that had absolutely no reason for happening and that your "professionalism" shouldn't be called into question so much for the posting of the picture but because you allowed this to happen in the first place.

As for the posting of the pictures themselves, the reason that I posted the warning under the tail pic was simply to let others on the forum know that there was something there that children and individuals with less than cast iron stomachs didn't necessarily have to see. And I think the concept of iguana mating has been successfully depicted. I'm not even going to bother to ask what you do with the eggs.....
