Iggy poohs on me everytime i get him out????

Well I am not sure if my iggy is doing this because he is scared or as a deterent so I won't mess with him~ HE has been eating like a pig~ But when i get him out in the first few moments he goes on me.Than its off to the bathroom to clean us both up so i can hold him for a while. This is not to pleasant and i want to break him of it. He seems fine after that and is reasonably mellow~ He loves to hang out on my shoulder and look at everything. The only time he gets flighty is when one of the cats comes up for some attention. The cats are so used to us having all kinds of wierd pets they tend to ignore anything i might be holding. I have tried leaving him alone a little more so he can get used to his surroundings~ But i want him to be tame so leaving him alone all the time is not what i want to do~ Any ideas?
