Question for those who have kids & igs

Have any of you had a baby or have taken care of a baby while having an ig? I was on this one site, and somebody wrote that they were about to have a baby and people have told her to get rid of her ig because it was too much of a health risk for the baby. I was just wondering about this cause sometime in the future I would like to have kids, and this health risk has me concerned. Can babies/young kids and igs live together?
Also, is antibacterial soap and a good hand washing enough to disinfect yourself after handling an ig, or do you need something stronger? thanks.
