Let me start by saying I am normally much more prepared before I purchase an animal. I was aware of the size iguanas get and that is not a problem. As stated in an earlier post I will be building a cage soon but I still have some questions. For one the iguana I currently have is about a year old. Will it be a problem if I build it a huge cage now? Also, I plan to build a lot of the cage out of wood and wire mesh(not sure exactly what types yet), what can I do to heat it, I plan on having a basking light and a UV light but can I use an undertank heater as well, maybe like a people heater, only problem is it would be floor, then the heater, then the wood cage right on top, sounds kinda like a fire waiting to happen to me?
