BBQ Dandelions in a Poke Salad?!?!???

First - dandelions south of..,um well I think you mean way, way south...anyways, do they grow very far south? I am aware there are many varieties of dandelion...I live in the temperate rain forest (BC Canada), and probably have every variety in my yard and garden. I didn't know they would grow in the south!
Second - okay, so just what is a "Poke Salad"??
Third - I see "BBQ" used differently than it is used where I live. We say "We're going to have a BBQ" and "I am going to BBQ that steak" and when it is cooked we say "That is a BBQ'd steak". Just like "roast" and "fry". There are "BBQ" sauces....(many with vinegar, onions, and brown sugar or maple syrup in them). Are you guys talking about sauces/marinades?
Fourth - 90% lean beef...that would be beef with 90% of the fat removed. No? What is beef that isn't beef? Is it a lump of fat like in cans of "Pork and Beans"?
Fifth - what are grits? Porridge or cream of wheat?
See? I'm getting too confused!
