I have a new apartment and to go along with it I built my iguana a huge cage, She loves it, but here is my problem. I also got a bigger ceramic heat bulb because the cage is much bigger than her old cage, I had it sitting on the top of the cage, and about three weeks into her living in her new cage, i noticed dark coloration on her back, where her ribs are, at first i didn't think anything of it because she often gets darker when warm or cold or mad etc. BUT< she started to get little blisters and i realised that she was being burnt (i guess the bulb was too close- it was about a foot away from the highest level in her cage) I immediately moved the heat lamp away from her shelf, and no further damage has been done, but she still has a few blisters on her back, The rest of the darkness has faded, but the blisters are still there, they look like any burn blister, a little infected, nothing huge, and she acts normal, eats like a pig and everything, But it's been over a week and they havn't dried out yet, I spray bactine on them, to keep them from getting worse, and i am giving her baths to keep it clean ( they aren't open soars or anything like that) I'm starting to worry, and i go to school in the middle of nowhere and there aren't any vets up here who specilise in reptiles etc. ANY SUGGESTIONS> (like i said, She is still eating, her color is good, and she acts normal, i don't think it's that bad, but any suggestions on maybe something different to use on the blisters(i have rid rot around somewhere, but it always drips off) thanks
