Sue,
I live in Utah, and have been trying (without any sucess) to get a hold of a Hibiscus bush to plant for my Iguana. (I brought him some Hibiscus flowers home from a trip to Florida last spring and he thought he died and had gone to heaven--he ate 'em all in one sitting!)
Do you know if they grow in any climates other than the deep South? (That's the only place I've seen them.) It's hot here in Utah, but very dry. We have summers that last from May to October.
Do you think it's even possible for me to realistically try to grow Hibiscus here? Or do they need the humidity?
Thanks for any info. I'd really like to get one growing for Habib, if it's possible; I love to spoil the little green guy.
Much thanks,
Diana
