? on feeding hibiscus

I bought a hibiscus plant Sun...and it's still alive LMAO I believe it's called Mary Morgan? Anyway, for now I'm leaving it in the pot it came in because frankly I don't know where to plant it! My question is....can I feed any of the flowers to the igs? I don't know what they used to feed it. I haven't fed it yet. When do I do that? Do you pinch the blooms off where they connect or what? How do you keep it blooming? How long should blooms last. It looks as if once they open all the way that they are dying the next day. I assume I should rinse off flower BEFORE offering it?
