yes, sounds like the vet is playing it safe right now cuz he does feel it is possibly the kidneys ... and the meds sure aren't gonna hurt in the meantime ... and i can't fault his reasoning ...

the thing with igs + renal problems is that there aren't any real definative tests for it in igs ... iZ's bloodwork did *not* in anyway indicate the severe renal problems that were found during his surgery ... ig-science is just too new at this point to be a whole lot more than educated guess-work ... tho i agree that x-rays and bloodwork should be done at this point in time too ... another problem is what T also mentioned ... the symptoms vary greatly from ig to ig! this is without a doubt *not* an easy thing to outright diagnose without doing an actual biopsy ... and again, i agree with T, i wouldn't put an ig thru major surgery *just* to do a biopsy ...

*heavy sigh* ... these iggies need to just stop it and be healthy!!!
