Extra water is always a good idea (more)

Here's another area where Q and iZ differ. If I
recall correctly, iZ drinks lots of water, especially
when he's not feeling so hot, and he's never had
much of a dehydration problem. Not so, Q.

I used to give Q 30-40 ccs oral water a day. While
Q didn't care much for lettuce, he did enjoy lots of
melon, mostly cantaloupe. I also used other tricks
to get extra water into him.

Whether an iguana takes the water in willingly or
needs help, extra water can help reduced-function
kidneys operate.
