First Bite

Help! My ig (alias "baby") bit me for the first time ever yesterday. It is only a year old and I say "it" because I don't know whether it's a male or a female. Usually I refer to him as a he. I just love him and caring for him, but was wondering what I should do if and when he bites again. I usually handle him every day and lately he's been really against being handled. Thanks! JCN
