Igs are NOT solitary reptiles! They live in quie large groups in the wild consisting of an adult male, quite a lot of adult females and some juveniles of both sexes. In a cage which is large enough, you can generally keep several Igs together. In most cases it works better with 1,2 or 1,3 than with 1,1 since aggression is evenly distributed to all females. He4re in europe most Iguana breeders keep more than one Iggie in a cage. Its just not natural to keep them all alone. Anyhow: In too small cages or for some aggressive specimens it is not possible to have cagemates.
