Everyone commenting on this subject has valid points. My thoughts (and take into consideration I've only been housing iguanas for 3 years) are that you can house iguanas together in small groups, but it depends entirely on the individual personalities of the iguanas in question. Of the 9 iguanas I have now, none are entirely alone with no contact with any others. I have one large enclosure(8x8x5.5) that houses 1 male and 2 females that have been together for a year.These 3 are all over 5 years old. I have another smaller enclosure that houses a pair. I have a male and female that share a room together. I do realize that this situation could change any day. I only wish my Cubans were as social!! They get maniacal whenever another lizard comes too close!!
