Generally speaking, they are solitary animals. In the wild, iguanas live in "groups". However, in the wild when they are free to move out of the way of those iguanas who are dominate (i.e. move to another tree and/or branch). I do not know too many people with cages the size of a rain forest.
Our normally laid back large female used to get along with the other 3 iguanas. Not any more. Those who used to get "along" one day, may not in the future.
For anyone keeping more than one iguana, the RULE is, be prepared to house them separately if the need arises. If you don't, I may have to send Harry the Horrible iguana to hurt you! LOL If you are unwilling to house them separately, you have no business keeping more than one.
