Most iguanas don't eat really acidic stuff...some eat oranges and are ok with them, but some won't eat them and if they do, it upsets their digestive system and their, uh, bowel movements. Also, huighly acidic foods (and pineapple is VERY acidic, far more so than even oranges) also have been known to cause mouth sores and, if fed too much, over time, possibly kidney damage. (Speculation) Also, it's got a poor Ca;P ratio and (I think, maybe not) lots of oxolates. (Gina?) Myself, I wouldn't recommnd it, but it probably won't hurt to try. Note: Watch for runny, nasty and extremely foul smelling feces after highly acidic foods. That's a good indication that it's too much acid for their system.
Best,
Jamie/JBug

: I've heard by many that it aids digestion, (plus, it's just dam good!), and so i was wondering if it could be given to igs, especially when they seem constipated.
: Thanx!
