Very true IZ's mom. Citrus fruits have an ALKALINE action when ingested & digested in gut ;-) then has an ACIDIC action...on the urinary system: dilutes urine, promotes acidification, effective on gram negative bacteria. Give IZ his oranges...good calcium as well. Seems like Ive read something about "hesperidin" in oranges being beneficial for something else...*shrugging shoulders*...The amount IZ has is NOT a problem...but mega-doses of Vitamin C WILL inhibit calcium absorption igs or humonz! Somewhat along the same lines (hope this is making sense!)
Im gonna start experimenting on my igs AGAIN!!(come to think of it haven't stopped!) regarding alkaline & acidity ph...using litmus paper. Ive yet to order it tho! To see if they are getting enough calcium. Calcium is an alkaline! Im looking for a high alkaline ph (saliva) and low ph (acid) urates ;-)
lolol wringing my hands, throwing my head back and howling...lke Dr. Frankenstein!!! Its not gonna hurt...THEM! but I'll be up to my elbows in Iguana spit & pee! I'll post the results ;-) when I do it!
Gina (needing much sleep these days!)
