Burns from heat light. What to do????

My girlfriends sisters iguana has burns on its back from new bulb she put in. obviously she has changed the bulb but how should she treat the burns. they do not appear too bad only small black patches on the back only. She has a appointment with the vet, but what should she do in the meantime.

any help would be appreciated
