as far as aloe burning, that's so strange cuz hubby burned himself the other day + my response is always "put aloe on it" and he's STILL mad at me cuz it stung so bad!!! i'd never heard of that, have always thought it to be more soothing ...

he threw that particular bottle of aloe out (it was almost gone anyway ... ) so i can't check it's label ... i'm fairly sure that it *didn't* have alcohol in it cuz i knew to look for that, but i'm also sure it had added preservatives, etc. etc. ... excellent point about "MADE WITH" not being the same as it BEING ... (mental note to remember that!!!)

btw, what is the purpose of the betadine *compresses*? to keep the wound from drying out on the surface before the inside is healed???
(serious question but i'd like to see you try to keep a bandage on an ig! LOLOL )

well, now my 1st aid kit seems to have gone back to just betadine + silvadine ... might have to check out the health food store re: PURE aloe tho ...
