Cost of building a cage?

Hey everyone! I am seriously considering getting an ig, and am researching all the different kinds of housing, and even though I never constructed anything in my life (LOL), it still looks like building something myself is the best way to go. I've found some good sites for building custom enclosures, however the price rarely is mentioned! I would prefer to use wood and glass sides with a wire door for some ventilation.. never bought wood before but some sites have indicted it's expensive? I am off to Home Depot today to check out what they have and the $$, but if anyone here who built their own iggy home would like to share what it cost, I would be extremely grateful. Thanks! :)
