If you are considering getting an iguana, would you please strongly consider adopting one instead of buying one? There are hundreds of unwanted iguanas out there looking for loving homes. Not only would you be helping one of them out but you would be helping the greater cause, "stopping Petstores from selling iguanas"!!!!
If you would decide to look into adopting please post your city and state and we will locate someone in your area, who has a rescue group.
As far as the cage building goes, I built one of my cages for a cost of around $350.00 ( it's not just a plain jane cage) The other cages that I built for temperary cages for rescue iguanas, only cost around $60.00 to 75.00 to make. This is all less the fixtures and ceramic heaters.
If you want to know anything more feel free to email me at: IguanaFIRST@aol.com
